Print It Fast Online has a Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ page to help customers find answers to common questions regarding such concerns as full color printing, file setup, shipping, turnaround times and secure payment.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER AT PRINT IT FAST ONLINE?

Create your art files using one of the programs and file formats listed in our Design Guide for upload submission, then you simply choose your product(s), attach your art file(s) for upload, and follow the onscreen instructions to finish placing your order.

HOW DO I UPLOAD MY ART FILES?

Art files are attached to the product and uploaded when it is ordered and placed in the basket. Front and back files should be attached separately for 2-sided products.

WHAT BROWSERS DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE SUPPORT?

Print It Fast Online is supported by Mozilla Firefox 3 & 4, Safari 3 & 4 and Internet Explorer 7 & 8. Make sure you have Cookies and Javascript enabled.

DO ALL ORDERS HAVE TO BE PLACED ONLINE?

Yes, Print It Fast Online does not accept walk-in or orders by mail. All orders must be placed through our website.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES OR CANCEL AFTER I´VE PLACED MY ORDER?

Please review your order prior to submitting. Once an ordered has been placed, it cannot be changed, however, it may be cancelled depending on its processing status. Print It Fast Online makes no guarantee that any order can be cancelled. Please contact customer service via e-mail at service@printitfastonline.com or by phone at (888) 831-4817, M-F, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. EST to see if your order is too far in processing to be cancelled.

If it is determined by Print It Fast Online that an order can be cancelled, you will be charged a MINIMUM FEE of $25.00. Depending on the processing stage of your order, this fee may be more-up to 50% of the total original job cost. A customer service representative will inform you of cancellation charges. Please allow up to 10 business days for the monies to be credited to your account.

Orders can not be cancelled or refunded once they have gone into production or any process thereafter. Absolutely no refunds will be issued once an order has been placed into the Production Process, Plated or any process thereafter, including but not limited to Printing, Coating, and/or Finishing.

HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?

Log in to your store account. Once you are logged in, you can check the status of all orders online.

HOW DO I REORDER?

Log in to your account at Print It Fast Online. Once you are logged in, you can pull up past orders to choose from to place your reorder. Print It Fast Online does not store art files once an order has been printed and shipped. If you reorder, you will need to resubmit your art file(s) for printing.

CAN I USE MY RESELLERS LICENSE?

If you are a Kentucky Merchant, you may fax a completed Kentucky Resale Merchant Certificate to us at (888) 831-4817. You will then be placed in a Tax Exempt Customer Group which will automatically deduct the sales tax from your purchase.

WHAT TYPES OF FILES CAN I SEND TO PRINT IT FAST ONLINE?

We recommend saving as a .PDF You may also send a file in the following types: EPS, JPG, JPEG, TIF, and TIFF. We ask that you send .PDF and .EPS files with outlined fonts. These files are easier to handle and will likely speed up your turn around and reduce the chance of undesired results. Remember to add crop marks and flatten your files before uploading.

IN WHAT COLOR MODE SHOULD MY FILES BE?

If you send us an RGB file, there is a chance that a color shift may occur and you may not be satisfied with your job. You should always start and finish your designs in CMYK color mode.

WHAT RESOLUTION SHOULD MY FILES BE?

Low resolution files may be printed as is or placed on hold until we receive new files, slowing your turn around. We only accept 300 dpi files and no less.

HOW SHOULD I SET UP MY BLEED AND CROP MARKS?

Bleed must extend .125" beyond the cut line. Using one of our Print It Fast Online templates can help you visualize this. Please keep all text and anything you do not want cut at least .125" inside the cut line. When sending an .EPS or .PDF, make sure you include crop marks so we can cut the job correctly.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE ACCEPT BORDERS ON JOBS?

We cut through many sheets at a time, so borders can easily be cut through or look uneven. For best results we do not recommend using borders on any file. If a border is used, Print It Fast Online is not responsible for cut or uneven borders.

HOW SHOULD I SET UP MY FILE FOR PROPER ROTATION?

Print It Fast Online requires Print Ready files with proper rotation. Files submitted are printed HEAD to HEAD as-is based off your files. Make sure to set up your files so that when we print them HEAD to HEAD the final product will read the way you would like. Also, front and back files need to be set up either both sides vertically or both sides horizontally. For files not properly set up, Print It Fast Online will use best judgment and will not be responsible for improper rotation.

HOW CAN I AVOID TRANSPARANCY ISSUES?

Any transparency issues should be resolved before saving your file. To prevent a problem, never use shadows, glows, or any other transparency (image or otherwise) on top of a spot color. Always convert your spot color to CMYK and flatten before sending. All of these effects will cause transparency problems.

SHOULD I SEND A PROOF OR SAMPLE FILE?

When sending artwork, do not send extra files, like proofs or samples, because they might get printed. Only send the files you need printed. We are not responsible for these kinds of files being printed. Unless requested by one of our employees, DO NOT send files that you do not want printed.

WHAT IS OVERPRINT AND HOW CAN IT RUIN MY FILE?

Primarily used to intentionally overlap inks for a number of reasons, overprint can cause unexpected results. We suggest that you turn all overprint objects off before submitting your files. Unexpected results may occur if you have accidentally set certain objects to overprint. Always check logos and other artwork before submitting.

CAN I SUBMIT MULTIPLE FILES IN ONE DOCUMENT?

No. We are specifically set up to process one side at a time, and this requires that each side of a job must be on a separate file. Not separating files will cause delays and you might have to send the files again. Remember to separate the pages of your .PDF files as well.

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE MY BLUES DO NOT COME OUT PURPLE?

When using a blue in your design, always make sure to leave at least a 30% difference in your Cyan and Magenta values. Blue is close to purple in the CMYK spectrum. Remember, use a low amount of magenta whenever using high amounts of cyan to avoid purple. Example: C-100 M-70 Y-0 k-0

HOW DO I EXPORT A PDF FILE CORRECTLY?

When exporting from any program such as InDesign or Illustrator, use these settings to make sure your .PDF files export correctly. Export settings for .PDF files. Adobe PDF Preset is set to: Press Quality Preset. Compatibility is set to: Acrobat 7 (PDF 1.3) Compatibility. Compress Text and Line Art is set to: Off Compress

HOW DO I GET A GRAYSCALE IMAGE IN A CMYK DOCUMENT?

Grayscale images that are converted to CMYK will have a color shift in the final print. That shift may be green or yellow. Always check the CMYK values of your grayscale in the final CMYK document. If there are other values other then K in your grayscale image, there is a chance that the color will vary.

WHAT IS RICH BLACK AND HOW DO I GET IT?

Rich black is an ink mixture of solid black, 100% K, with additional CMY ink values. This results in a darker tone than black ink alone. If you print black alone as 100% K, the resulting black may not be as dark as you might like. We recommend using C 60 M 40 Y 40 K 100. This will give you a deep, dark, rich black.

WHY DO MY BUSINESS CARDS CRACK AROUND THE EDGES?

Cracking of the edges of a business card sometimes occurs when the card contains high values of ink, as in dark colors. This usually happens on a small amount of cards in the run. To prevent this, use lighter colors or if you must use dark colors, use as little ink as possible.

WHAT IS BANDING?

Many things can cause banding. Banding can be caused by the program that it is exported from, such as InDesign or Corel. Also, too many gradient steps, for example going from a very light color to a dark color, in a small area will cause banding. To prevent this, check your digital files before sending. If you use a gradient, make sure it has enough room for a smooth transition.

WHY IS THERE CRACKING ON MY SCORING JOB?

When a job is coated with UV then scored and folded the job may begin to crack. During use, the cracks will become bigger and the ink may start to chip off. Cracking is normal when coated jobs are scored and folded. Ordering the job without UV will help but may not prevent this. As the job is used and folded more and more, cracking will eventually happen.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE PROVIDE SHRINK WRAPPING?

We do not provide shrink wrapping as a service.

WHAT IS THE STANDARD PRINT TIME AT PRINT IT FAST ONLINE?

Standard Print Time is 2-4 days from your order date. Orders placed after 12:00 p.m. EST. will be processed on the next business day. Please remember Shipping Time is in addition to Print Time and will vary depending on the shipping option you choose.

WHAT DAYS OF THE WEEK DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE PROCESS ORDERS?

Print It Fast Online processes and prints orders Monday through Friday except these major holidays: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Friday after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE SHIP TO PO BOX ADDRESSES?

No. Our standard shipping service, UPS, will not ship to PO Box addresses and therefore, we cannot ship to a PO Box.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE OFFER SPLIT SHIPMENTS FOR THE SAME ORDER?

You cannot ship one order to two different places. For example, job number 0005 and 0006 will get a shipping address for each, but job number 0005 cannot ship to two different places.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE OFFER A PRICING OR WEIGHT GUIDE FOR SHIPPING?

We do not provide a pricing or weight list but you may get immediate shipping pricing on our website when placing an order.

WHAT TYPE OF SHIPPING SERVICES DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE USE?

We currently only use UPS to ship our packages.

WHAT TYPES OF SHIPPING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FROM PRINT IT FAST ONLINE?

You may choose from: Standard (UPS Ground), Priority (USP 2nd Day Air) or Express (UPS Next Day Air).

CAN I USE MY OWN SHIPPING ACCOUNT?

Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer that option. All orders must be shipped out using our Print It Fast Online shipping account.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE PROVIDE SPECIAL BOXING IF REQUESTED?

We cannot split a job into multiple boxes. Our standard double corrugated boxes will be used to ship your orders.

DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE COMBINE SHIPMENTS?

No, we do not combine shipments because each order is processed on its own.

WHAT IS PRINT IT FAST ONLINE´S RETURN POLICY?

We want you to be happy with your order. If there is a problem with your printing order, please contact Customer Service immediately via email at service@printitfastonline.com. To speak to a customer service representative, you may call (888) 831-4817, M-F, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., EST. However, please be aware that all claims must be submitted IN WRITING via email to be processed.

Customer must contact Print It Fast Online in writing within 6 business days of order acceptance to notify us of any defects discovered in the ordered product or the claim will be denied. In order to receive replacement Customer must return 100% of the received product within 15 days (at their own expense) from the time the ordered product delivery was accepted.

Any cancellation or compensation given to the customer will be refunded in a timely manner. Please allow up to 10 business days for the monies to be credited to your account after the defective product is returned to Print It Fast Online. All charges related to expedite printing (Rush Printing or Shipping) are NOT REFUNDABLE, including for those orders that are returned for any reason.

Print It Fast Online guarantees prints will not be defective in accordance with industry standards. Due to the nature of four-color printing, Print It Fast Online cannot print every color available on a computer monitor. We do not color match, however we do offer the industry standard in "pleasing color" and will make any reasonable adjustments to help correct your submitted files. If a print is found to be defective or we cannot correct your file or reprint to industry standards, then we will issue an RMA and refund the purchase price. Print It Fast Online must be contacted IN WRITING via email within 6 business days of receiving your order if there is a claim.

Print It Fast Online will correct at no charge improper cutting, color drift, printing delays, and printing quality. The customer is responsible for and should correct files without full bleed or with incorrect color selections, incorrect resolution, incorrect file dimensions, visible crop marks, incorrect card orientation, and spelling or grammar errors. If your file is printed with customer errors, you are responsible for the error and there will be a charge for a reprint.

Print It Fast Online is not responsible for any duplicated orders that are placed on our web site due to a customer mistake.

Print It Fast Online is NOT LIABLE for errors in a final product caused by any of the following reasons: Misspelling, Graphics, Bleeds, Grammar, Damage Fonts, Punctuation, Wrong cuts, Incorrect or Missing Folds, Die Lines, Crop Marks, Transparency, Overprint, Finished Product Size. We DO NOT make any changes on customer files.

If a product is deemed defective in accordance with industry standards, one of the following resolutions will be offered:

1. Print It Fast Online will reprint with the rush production at no additional charge to Customer.

2. Print It Fast Online will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to you. A Quality Assurance representative will contact you within 24-48 hours of your initial query to issue your RMA number. Contact with the representative must be established within 6 business days to verify the request. Print It Fast Online must receive the package within 15 calendar days after RMA number is issued. Compensation will be processed only after a RMA number has been issued and the entire product has been returned to Print It Fast Online. The refund transaction will take place within 10 business days. Samples of the defective merchandise are required prior to any resolution.

HOW DOES PRINT IT FAST ONLINE PROTECT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Print It Fast Online uses a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. Sensitive information is protected through the use of encryption technology such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol, and is maintained in an encrypted database. Print It Fast Online does not store your credit card information. Please note that we do not regard any of the information provided to us in data files uploaded to us for print fulfillment as sensitive information requiring encryption.

When you register with Print It Fast Online the password you choose is only as effective as you make it. It is your responsibility to choose an appropriate password and to keep it confidential. You should not share this information with anyone, and you should always log out of a Print It Fast Online website or service before leaving your computer to protect against others being able to access your information. If you believe your password has been compromised in any way you should immediately change it by logging in and following the instructions or by calling Print It Fast Online´s Customer Service for assistance.

You may have the ability to view online the personal information that you provide to Print It Fast Online. To prevent your personal information from being viewed by others, you will be required to sign in with your user name and password to gain access to your account information.

If your account information is incorrect or needs to be changed or updated, you may do so online or by calling Print It Fast Online´s Customer Service for assistance.

If you have any trouble accessing your account you may call Print It Fast Online´s Customer Service for assistance. You may be asked to provide proof of your identity before our Customer Service representatives will provide any information related to your account.
